Coconut Bar and Kitchen opened 4 1/2 years ago and is now one of Reading’s top choices for some amazing cocktails and exotic south east Asian food. We are going from strength to strength, making a positive contribution to our town.
There has been so much effort behind the scenes at Coconut for us to have got to where we are now and our team is continuously adding different elements to the business. We always try our best to be the best we can be, hopefully impressing our customers and the whole of Reading.
I am so proud to be part of Coconut and without our great hard working team, we wouldn’t have achieved such a fantastic results. I am truly grateful to the staff and thank them wholeheartedly . We share the same goal to make our guests feel special, because we really believe they are. With that belief as our foundation we can rest assured that we are giving our guests the great experience that they deserve. We appreciate that free time is valuable and we want to make sure that time spent with us is well spent, providing lasting memories and happiness with special friends and loved ones.
For us, the most important thing is to ensure everyone has an amazing time. We are happy when we know our customers are happy and love nothing more than to see guests returning again and again, becoming part of the heart of Coconut.

Whilst studying Hospitality and Tourism in College I worked various positions in various restaurants. This sparked my passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
I began my success in Coconut Bar and Kitchen, by first building a properly trained team around me. I am very passionate about my work at Coconut Bar and Kitchen and I am often referred to as the ‘heart’ of Coconut. I love doing what I do and it’s fulfilling. Many customers have become friends and it’s heart-warming to see smiles. At Coconut we are all about people. People come first. I'm proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a team. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the heartfelt commitment and unified effort from our people.
What I love about the restaurant industry is that it’s constantly changing and developing – new restaurant concepts to the art of bartending.
My advice for those interested in the industry is to never stop learning and to challenge yourself to be better every single day.
I am driven by the success of others and have learned that in order to be successful, the right team has to be hired and they must have the passion and attitude for providing genuine hospitality.
I strongly believe that the power of a positive attitude carries extraordinary results.
