Coconut Bar & Kitchen supports Berkshire Vision, a local charity.

We at Coconut Bar & Kitchen are driven by a desire to support the local community and are passionate about helping people and projects. We want to give something back to our community.

When we heard about Berkshire Vision we wanted to help and build awareness for the charity that supports and delivers services to blind and partially sighted children and adults in Berkshire.

Blindness, or a visual impairment can often reduce a child’s self-esteem and increase their sense of isolation and fear. Most attend mainstream school but cannot participate in all the activities and have limited opportunity to spend time with other partially sighted children who understand their difficulties.

For Berkshire Visions, having funds and support would help to provide safe and comfortable journeys to these key events and workshops.

Throughout the year Berkshire Vision have a comprehensive timetable of activities available for their members, such as trips to Legoland, pizza making parties, Zoo trips and sensory touch tours.

These experiences are fundamental for developing confidence and self-esteem, enabling the children to develop the pivotal social skills that are essential for later life.

We met with some of the team from Berkshire Vision and talked about how we could help. We have decided from November we will DONATE £1 from every SUNDAY BRUNCH and volunteer to help with activities.

Come and enjoy SUNDAY BRUNCH! Join in and help us raise funds for the charity so blind and partially sighted children and adults can take part in activities others take for granted.

At our Cocktail Bar and Restaurant we offer everything you need for a night out. With our HAPPY HOURS starting at 4:30pm, and ALL DAY Sunday, you don’t need to go anywhere else for your pre drinks and there’s a great selection for you to enjoy from our extensive cocktail list, including a couple of delicious new additions.

Our kitchen is open until 10pm so if you’d like to have dinner we’d love to see you. Booking is strongly recommended across any weekend, but particularly holiday weekends and this can be done easily over the phone, or online for smaller groups.

With our resident DJ starting at 9:30pm, Thursday to Sunday, every night really is party night across the holiday, and to start the long weekend off don’t forget our Thirsty Thursday deal, when you can enjoy £5.50 Porn Star Martinis, 4 Coronas for £10 and bottles of wine for £12.50, all day long, as always.

Of course, our popular Sunday Brunch menu will be available for you to enjoy and you really can make the most of the bottomless cocktails and Prosecco if you don’t have work the next day.

Mum's the Word….

Indeed it is here at Coconut Bar and Kitchen.  A very special word and they deserve a very special day.  A day when they can be treated to a tasty meal and enjoy a few delicious cocktails or glasses of Prosecco. A day when they can relax and unwind. A day that is all about them.

Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon..

So true! What better way to recover from the stresses of the previous week and prepare for the next one than spending Sunday relaxing with friends and enjoying good food and drink, even better if someone else is doing the cooking and preparing the drinks, and absolutely perfect if the food and drink is fantastic value.

Coconut Bar and Kitchen is one of Reading’s favourite places for eating and drinking. Our bar and restaurant, just a stone’s throw from the Oracle, provides one of the most popular venues in town. On a Sunday you can enjoy all day happy hour, maybe we should rename it happy day?, as well as a fabulous Sunday Brunch menu that comes with 2 hours of unlimited Prosecco or selected cocktails.
